Container Gardening

2012, July. Geraniums on my front deck. The containers for these plants have a wick in the bottom that goes into a water reservoir. This way I don't have to water them every day and they do much better in the hot sun. Normally, I over winter geraniums, but unfortunately, we had an early frost this year and I lost all these plants.

2013, August. There's nothing quite like going out onto my front deck and cutting fresh herbs for supper. Most herbs do quite well in pots.

Container gardening on Geri's, a member of the HAGS, deck. Beautiful, isn't it? Notice the raised bed towards the back of the image. Geri grows lettuce and other salad vegetables here - the critters can't get to the plants and Geri only has to go out to her deck to get salad fixings.

2009, August. A very imaginative use of pots on a steep slope in Jackie's, a member of the HAGS, garden.
